Kinda forgot about my xanga, don't think anyone is reading it, but at least something to look back on.

Finished exams and passed, now in Sydney doing ENT surgery in RNSH for 4 weeks, then going to Vanuatu for another 3 weeks. It's really cold in Sydney, especially for the past few days, heavy rain, hail and wind. To look on the bright side, hopefully that'll make skiing better. Just can't wait to go now.

ENT is great too, the Registras and Interns are really helpful and teach a lot. Only if I was a bit more keen on clerking patients and knowing cases : p - feel quite lazy though. I think I'll focus on learning more about the system and learning how to be an intern here given the little time I have.

Spending time here just makes me want to work in Australia more and more. People are nice, food is great, and a lot more sunshine! The only things that might put me off is maybe the higher cost of living, and the difference in attitude towards health care - not sure if it's because of the private healthcare system, patients are more aware of the standard of care and a lot of people tries to be doctors themselves by consulting Dr. Google.

It was quite interesting when I found out our registra actually went to boarding school in the UK and left asap. In contrast, I was sitting in a clinic with the registra, intern, patient and myself all speaking cantonese.....
